ReflectionMost if not all governments throughout history have released propaganda of some form. The motives of propaganda are diverse. They range from generally positive meanings such as a motivational effect like the now popular KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON posters a justice-oriented connotation like the popular phrase "all men are created equal." Propaganda can also come with negative implications like the ones used in Germany during WWII to dehumanize Jews and many other ethnicities. What makes the Germans evil in their propaganda effort? Were they actually any worse than their methods or was it just their message? Their method was arguably more malign. Nazi anti-Semitic advertisements actively targeted an ethnicity and often used lies or stereotypes to negatively influence the audience. The lesson that this terrible scar in history leaves behind for us is to not deceive others with falsehood into accepting our agenda.
